best setup for greenscreen ex1 and ajaiohd
hi there
i am looking for the best possibel greenscreen setup
using a ex1 and a aja iohd i use the hdsdi output
and would like to record everything in 108025p
(the ex1 manual states that 108025p outputs over hdsdi output as 25psf )
the aja “sees” a 1080i25 signal also in the aja control panel in the big pink middel section it states “8 bit”
(the i because the source is psf basicly progressive but build up as interlaced as far as i understand)and sometimes only YUV whit no mention of bit?
as i understand the ex1 always records 1920×1080 but when 720 is chosen their is a downscale aplied
whit the 720p50 ex1 preset the aja “sees” a 720p50 signal
i would like to know what you pro’s know about this and what would be best for me to use to get the cleanest matte
final format would typicly be 640×360 or 720×405i’ve read some story’s from mr juan martines that is stating that in EE mode there is “true” 10bit 422 signal i wonder if i not record on the ex1 the state of the camera is always EE?
would p50 give me beter results for fast motion when final movie is only p25?

I guess that when you are not recording in the SxS cards the HD-SD/SDI is in EE.
