Best setup for audio with Aja IO
SO I’m working with some audio sensitive material and am a little confused on the best way to deal with audio using the IO. I have both computer speakers and a set of a rolands hooked directly into the IO box. I’m monitoring via composite to a broadcast monitor.
Someone else was editing on this system without realizing the setup and used the computer speakers and syncing it to the broadcast monitor. This is obviously going ot be slightly out of sync. I was wondering if there’s a concrete number of frames the sync would be off by so I can correct it. In the long term I should always trust the rolands and broadcast monitor for verifying sync right?
Also is there a way to tweak the playback in FCP’s displays to match the broadcast monitor?

I think you need to set the offset in FCP to 5 frames.

I think Warren is probably right. There should be a standard offset default in the frame offset preference. If you shift your audio back by that amount it should be back in sync.
