    To All,
    Doing a show that’s aprox. 40 min. TRT. It’s a 1080i Prores422 project.
The final product will be a SD DVD. Can someone please advise me as to the very best settings in compressor for optimum quality.
I’m running FCP studio 2. The show will ultimately be projected on a large screen, so I would like to deliver the sharpest image possible.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
we recently achieved a pretty good looking DVD busting 50i HDV down to SD by creating a DV50 sequence and dragging the HDV sequence into it. If you’re working in PAL and I assume you are with 50i, make the field dominance upper and set the motion filtering quality to fastest.

Export the movie self contained, (deinterlace in QT) and import it DVDSP. Field order top, and best quality motion.

    Ta-dah!

    Dear Neil,
Thanks for the input. But I’m not working in PAL or HDV.
The project is 1080i ProRes 422.
I was looking for suggestions for settings in Compressor. In particular the GOP settings.
    Anybody have any ideas?
    Thanks
