Hello, this is my first post here, glad that this community exists! I am hoping someone can help me with a problem.

I am trying to edit and render video clips that are uncompressed avi exports from the program CCS64. CCs64 is a Commodore 64 emulator, and the emulator has a video export function, which allows you to save a video file of anything you do in the emulator.

The emulator does not allow you to set the size of the clip, it is set to 384 x 282. I am trying to edit some game footage, and isolate elements to use in other clips, and the problem I am having is rendering it or exporting it. I can’t seem to find any settings that retain the crisp pixelated edges of the original AVI file that the emulator exports. The edges get slightly blurred and looks much less clear when I render anything. I do not want the clip to stay 384 x 282, it will be adjusted to fit typical 4:3 or whatever normal full screen (non widescreen) would be.

I am wondering if anyone has any helpful information on how I should handle this kind of clip, or if I need to convert this clip to another format, or any recommendation on exporting.

Also, would it make any difference to post a link to a source clip? I am currently at work and will not be able to do so until later this evening, but I certainly can.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Most video oriented compression types don’t deal well with computer screen captured files.

I’m not sure, but you might look into “Camtasia.” I know they have a decent code for this and likely their software suite may be better able to accomplish what you are looking for.

    Search Camtasia in google.

    Hope that helps….
