    Anybody I’ve read and seen and tried so many different methods I’m using dv does anybody have any info on the best settings to use.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    animation out animation back in. Remeber that Avid SD is lower field first.

    What do you mean animation out? Animation out of avid? Animation out of AE right but whats the best way to export out of avid in to ae? Thanks

    The highest quality export out of AVID is *Same as source*…it exports a native file in QT format with *Meridien / DV / Whatever* AVID codec you’re using. (I’ve only used DV and Meridien, but I’m sure there’s at least 1 or 2 more possible codecs).

    I do some back and forth with our AVID Meridien system and I can render right out of AE with the AVID Meridien codec, and AVID does the *fast import*…super quick, and you can do 1:1 resolution if you need it.

    As far as DV, I’ve not rendered out of AFX for the AVID DV system, but I’m sure there’s a codec available in the Quicktime output settings for DV.
