Best rendering settings to keep film grain effect
Hi there!
I looked through the forum but I didn’t find any answers for my question. The point is: I realized a short film in HD which I am planning to put online (let’s say Vimeo). I thus followed the compression guidelines that Vimeo provides on their website. Apparently, the best solution for Vegas users is to render in mp4.
However, I am not really satisfied with the results. Since I used a film grain effect, the .mp4 makes all the grains look like squares, as if you were watching a poor compressed footage.
Do you have any suggestions for formats which are fine in quality (especially regarding the film grain) and acceptable for uploading on a website like Vimeo?
Thanks!
