Best Render Option for HD to DVD
Hi all,
I’m new to this site and although Ive become decent at creative editing I still have a lot to learn about project settings, render options and the tech side of things.
I film weddings on a Sony Z1 in HD widescreen and after editing my projects Ive always rendered in avi/dv because I was burning to a standard dvd.
The thing is the quality obviously wasnt the best it can be. There has to be a better option to render so the quality is more crisp even though im burning to a standard DVD right?
Any help on this would be great.

Sean, to get the best quality you possibly can, you should always render direct to MPEG-2 & AC-3 from Vegas rather than going to AVI and then letting DVD Architect figure it out for you.
If the video is over 70 min. long, you’ll need to use a bitrate calculator and learn how to use the Custom options in the MPEG-2 render options to maximize quality.Here’s a few recent threads where this topic was discussed.
