I’m putting a video together from a bunch of short clips shot with my Canon T2i in 1920×1080 at 23.9 fps. There are also quite a few still images that I’ve added pan/zoom to that will be included in the final video.

What would be the best project video settings for this?

As for the rendered file… I’ll only be viewing this on hd computer monitors and TVs via hdmi out from my laptop so it doesn’t need to be burned to blu-ray disk but I do want it to retain it’s full 1080 HD quality.

Thanks for any help with this and let me know if you need more information,

    Josh

    Hi,

I have a 7D (never know if the US “T2i” name means 7D in Europe, or another Canon camera), and usually shoot at 1920×1080 25fps, then render to MP4. I could not notice any significant quality drop this way.

    Hope this helps,
    Frederic

I agree with Frederic. I use the same settings for my 7D/T2i for highest quality. Except in 24fps (he using PAL in Europe). Make sure you choose the right setting for your continent.
