Hi all. Does anyone have an opinion as to which of the Quicktime codecs in AE6.5 Pro is best for rendering high-quality video. Size is not an issue. Just looking for the best quality.

    Thanks!

    Animation is best.

Next (IMHO) is Photo-JPEG. For file size reduction and neglgible quality loss, set quality to 89 or 94%, at the highest the slider allows.

Microcosm ( at digitalanarchy.com ) is great for file size reduction and 16bpc rendering.

If I understood what you mean, you should use “none” wich actually is not a codec, just uncompressed. Lossless codecs are good but uncompresses is virgin all the time.
