Best quick time settings for broadcast
Hello,
Probably there is a thread in this or other forums that explains my question but I was searching the internet for some time now and I can’t find a suitable answer. I am a PC user so MAC guys out there please don’t laugh 🙂 I am using a Premiere CS4 and I have a big problem adjusting the video output settings for final “broadcast quality” delivery.
What wrapper/codec should I use in order to achieve maximum quality output. When I export video from AE I get perfect result using Quick time Photo JPEG output but if I choose the same setting in Premiere the video is very bad quality. And so far everything that I have tried only delivers very poor quality. No matter what I choose I can’t get anything near to that of AE output. What is the problem here.

What is your deliverable? Tape? If so, what kind of tape? DVD? A file for online playback? Let’s start with what you will need to deliver, then you can determine your output.

My client puts this into Final Cut and transfers it to a BETA tape before it is sent to a TV station. Video format is 1024×576 which is also my premiere project where I add intro and outro to my content. I also tried “Animation” compressor which my client reccomends and from AE it is perfect. But the same setting isn’t working in premiere.
My workaround so far is that I put intro and outro into my AE project and and export the wohole thing. But I would like to know why is Premiere output not working or why is it different then AE output with same settings. In case I have to edit a longer video I will eventually need Premiere in order to deliver high quality output.

hi i have a sony z1 and i have pc windows pentiom 4 core 2 duo 4gb ram and i work in adobe premiere pro cs2
if i film with z1 and i want to edit and send it to tv what quality i do for capture and for exporting on hard disk

You have to get this information from the TV station which will broatcast your work. My resolution for that project was 1024×576. Remember mine was going to BETA tape. A technology that is becoming obsolete.
If you ask me I would do it in 1080p, and then prepare smaller versions like 720p and 576p.
