    Hi guys,
I’m new to the EX-3 camera and am learning how to export EX 1080i50 footage to H.264, ProRes, uncompressed and SD interlaced quicktimes.
The main issue has to do with long GOP structure and getting the interlaced footage to look decent.
At the moment I am getting field/frame issues that aren’t blending correctly. The only way I’ve got to work thus far is to de-interlace the footage on the timeline but don’ think that’s a great option going forward.

Rather than bang on about all the things I’ve tried, any links, suggestions you have would be awesome.
10.4.11. FCP Studio 2. Anything that’s worked for your workflow I’d sure like to hear about 🙂
    Many Thanks
    Andrew

You might try some of the advanced settings in Compressor.

    Thanks Russ.
Yeah I tried Compressor under a number of different settings; like exporting from a Proress timeline rather than an EX and vice versa.
Still can’t seem to figure it out.
