Best proxy workflow for mobile editing?
I’m familiar with the “create video proxy” feature and I love it for working with proxies at my home edit bay. But if I want to create proxies that I can then take with me on a laptop, edit at a coffee shop, then bring the project file back to my edit bay at home, swap out the footage and render, what is the best way to do this without having to carry around all of the original source footage or relink files one at a time later?
I also have vegasaur and it has a proxy feature, but it seems that if I make a copy of the proxies that it makes, then try to replace the footage later, vegasaur’s “restore media (undo replacement)” feature becomes grey’ed out, so I end up having to manually replace files one at a time.
I’m currently working with Vegas 13 at work, Vegas 12 at home.
Anyone have a good solution?
