Best process for sequenced film frames to video file?
I’m using Sony Vegas Pro 13 with UltimateS and trying to find the best way to get a set of sequenced film frames into a video file in the highest quality possible. From all the reading I feel the best way is to place the images onto the timeline in a pulldown pattern and to avoid blended frames. I used the import media function (and also tried to just drop the images onto the timeline)… When I used the import media function (selecting the stills option) it displayed a Properties box where i could select the frame rate. Should I used the frame rate of the film (ie. 16fps or 18fps or 24fps) or the final video?
Once I get the right setting for the timeline, I now need to pick out the render options. The output should be the best quality for archival purposes. Suggestions?
Cheers,
John
