Best practices for PP and AE CS6
I have recently upgraded to the CS6 suite from CS4. I produce marketing and training videos for my mortgage company. My typical production is shot against a green screen and keyed with a graphic background added. I have begun using animated titles using AE. There may also be motion tracking involved.
I have become familiar with the Dynamic Link process but am unclear what the most efficient workflow is. If I right-click on each individual clip in PP and replace with the AE comp, I lose any special editing I may have done in PP (mainly color and exposure correction), but I do avoid the dreaded render monster.
Is it preferable to right-click the clips to AE and use AE for ALL the effects (including those things than could be handled in PP, like color correction), then view and render in PP? Or is there some secret I’m just missing where effects can be passed in both directions between the two programs?
Thanks for any suggestions,
