How do you guys do it most reliably? I’m on an iMac here and I have a capture utility from Blackmagic to bring in a live signal via SDI but I haven’t used this setup in actual “combat” yet. Looking for tips on the most efficient and reliable ways to live-capture for immediate edit turn-round in Prempro.

Good communication between the computer operator and the floor director is necessary. Also, backups need to be done immediately because there is no raw media.

I’ve done it a few time on green screen shoots were I wanted minimal compression. If that is your plan beware of giant file sizes.
