  Best possible output options?

  Happy Thanksgiving!
  Have an HVD project on my G-5 Mac based Xpress Pro HD 5.6 system and need good quality standard def DVD output dubs. Transcoding for SD/DVD drops the quality considerably as does moving to the format tab and going from 1080i to 30i. The loss of quality is quite obvious and would consider sending off to a 3rd party for a sharp master conform if necessary.
  Looking for options to the best quality output.
