I need to get some software to create some corporate scores for a series of short business films to be used at an awards event. I have been looking at sonicfire scoring edition. Anyone out there with it? Does it work well with Vegas? Is there something else I should be looking at? Martin.

Are you talking about written music or the actual music? There are several that you can use to write it, others that sort of help you to compose it. Cinescore is fairly good and is a sony product. Acid is a loop based music creation program, so you will need to buy other loops as well. I have both and use both, Cinescore is easier, but kinda harder to taylor. Acid takes more time, can get you better results, but you will need to purchase more loops. I have quite a few and they work well. If you need to write the music and have it in written form, there is Sibelius, Notation and Finale. They all have there strong and weak points….hope this helps and good luck!
