Best Monitor for editing/effects
Hey there, guys.
In the process of burning some cash before the end of the financial year and I’m setting up a new suite for editing/effects/compositing.
My question is which brand of monitor. I’ve been looking at EIZO monitors, but not sure if they are the right way to go. Are they more for print related outcomes?
I really want accurate color for broadcast. I’m also wondering if a high-end monitor can be used in place of a broadcast monitor as those things are DAMN expensive and I don’t think I can justify buying another one.

Have you checked out Flanders Scientific (see yellow ad to left on this page). Not inexpensive, but way less than TV Logic.

I’ll give ya a broadcast trinitron NTSC monitor for 400 bucks if you cover shipping. It’s a heavy beast but cost several thousand back in the day.
