    Hello All..

We are shooting a round table with 6 to 8 persons, my client is little concern about the audio (in the past the have very bad experiences).

Our main camera is a Sony FX1, hooked to a Beachtek DXAHD adapter, we will place 2 mics on table stand, but need advice of what kind/brand we should use.

I know there are super hi-end mics, but our budget (as always..haha) is low, considering that this could be a one time shoot.

    Any advice is very welcome.

1 mic each and a mixer is the way to go. At that point, even the cheapest mics are better than 2 mics for the whole table.

Use the smallest round table you can find!

Only 2 mics for eight people – yikes. You might be better off just using one omni directional mic in the middle of the table, assuming that it’s a quiet room and a small table. You could use 2 Shure SM57’s, but you’d need to be very conscious of mic placement.
