Best Media for Lacie Bluray burner
Has anybody got recomendations for best BD media, there are big differences in price $8.00 to $30.00 for single layer discs.
I am planning to back up XDcam files on BD. I use a Mac Pro M100 12.7.1 w/AJA HDe and FCP studio2 all the latest updates. I also use a Macbook pro in the field w/ M100 producer 12.7.1 and the XDcam transfers work really well.
And yes I have the Adobe CS3 master collection so I plan to learn Encore.
I have already made standard (4.7GB) DVD’s in Toast 9 with HD plugin that play in my old BluRay Sony settop (BDP-s300). I assume it will work well with BluDisc media as well, an comments?
Also do dual layer discs work well?
I just ordered the Lacie d2 FW external writer, and 10 TDK 2x discs.

I don’t have an answer as I haven’t got a LaCie BD burner, but if you don’t find an answer here you might want to check LaCie’s site – they may have recommended media.
Encore CS3 doesn’t support dual-layer BD burning.

For non-printable discs, we use the Sonys.
For printable discs, we use the TDK inkjet printables.

Good luck with that using Blu-Ray on a Mac – it’s pretty busted.
