    Hi all,

I was about to switch to Apple and use FCP exclusively but then ‘X’ happened, so I’m staying with PC and Prem for the time being.

My clients want their master file as a Prores file.

I’m going to record in .mxf (50Mbps LGOP 1080i50) and edit on Premiere on a PC.

When I’ve finished the edits I want to then convert to Prores. I know Premiere does not do this, so I want to export the final film from Premiere in a format that will be near perfect for conversion to Prores once I put it onto a Mac.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

    Thanks,

    Chris

Go for either the native codec of the footage or uncompressed if you are going to concert to ProRes, or see about alternative delivery options.
