  Best Mac for Premiere Pro CC

  Hello all,

  I’ve recently been entrusted to purchase a new Mac for my company. The boss is insisting on a Mac and video editors only use Premiere CC to edit. We create Youtube videos, so export as H.264 Youtube 2160 4K or Youtube 1080p HD. We are planning on transitioning to shooting in 4K only.

  Basically I’m looking for something that can handle projects that are shot in 4K with a lots of effects and can export to H.264 for Youtube as fast as possible. The projects are usually 15 minute-2 hour videos. They on average take 1-5 hours to export. These times aren’t too terrible, but I’m wondering if there’s a set up that will be faster, or can be customized to be faster few years from now.

  Right now we use a iMac (27-inch, Late 2013)
  Processor: 3.5 GHz Intel Core i7
  Memory: 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
  Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4096 MB
