Best LCD size to buy for my editing desktop

You can’t make this decision based only on what we think is useful. You need to calculate your budget, your desktop space, distance you like to work from the monitor, how may windows you like to have open and what your needs might be for impressing your clients.

For the latter, there is nothing like a 30″ Apple Cinema. Absolutely nothing. Buddy of mine has two on his FCP machine just to make viewing comfortable for one major client, a filmmaker whose vision is failing. However, he has found the dual 30s to be delightful. I’ve worked on it, I’d have them too, if I could get my boss to buy them for me.
