Best import to FCP from canon 7d ??
hi
i am using canon 7d with final cut pro , and i looking for the best quick and best quality for importing my files to fcp .
till today i used to just import files or just drugged theme into fcp , i noticed there is a plug in for the log in and transfer , some people even used mpeg streamclip to change the codec before even importing .
so why should i do all that instead of just drugging it to fcp and export it to whatever codec i choose ?thanks

search h264 in this forum and you will have your answer.
H264 is not an editing codec, especially with FCP

We use mpeg stream clip to convert the h264 files to Apple pro res 422. Footage quality is great.
