I have a Kessler 12 foot crane with a motorized pan/tilt head. What would you suggest would be a good remote-controlled HD video camera (zoom, focus, autofocus) that I could use with this crane? Lanc control or? Card-based only, not tape. Price range $2-4000. I have tried using a 5D3, but not working for what I need….
    Thanks much.

Given your price range I would consider the Panny HPX-170
You can get a lens controller like Varizoon and an extension cable.

    Thanks Chris
I would prefer not to have to buy P2 cards, expensive.
    Any other suggestions?

Check out the canon xf100, Sony pmw100 or panny hmc150. My best bet would be canon, it’s got a good sensor great codec and shoots to cf cards. Also it has a lanc remote in so uou can get a varizoom controller and be all set
