Best format to export from Avid to After Effects
I’m usually a Premiere guy, but the computers at my school have Avid Xpress on them and I was wondering what the best format would be to export SD footage from them for import into After Effects. Thanks!

Export a reference QT file…..it will basically just export links to your hardrive….so the file will basically not weigh anything.
The only issue with this can come when trying to do a backup, as the media will not get collected in a collect file in AE.
