best format for internet and enhanced cd…
hello, i recently completed a music video for an independent music label, they have plans to post it on a website as well as include it as a cd enhancement, for an upcoming release. my experience with a previous video being posted online, was that the quality was far from ideal.
for my own research, i was wondering if anyone knew what would be the best way to maintain as much video quality for these viewing circumstances? is it just a matter of using a certain codec? or does it consist of using an entire different format (not quicktime?) entirely.
i don’t have any experience in this, preparing video for these presentations, so any advice would be great, even better if it doesn’t involve anything that would be expensive (wishful thinking?).

For an enhanced CD, I’d do square pixel MPEG-1 – that’ll play in anything without any software install.
As for making good web video, there’s a LOT to it – picking a format is a pretty minor part of the process.
