  • Best export settings?

    Hi,
    I´m a newbie but I´ve just made my first film for a client´s webpage. I used a HVX200A, P2 card, and I´ve edited in FCP 7.0.3.

Next step is to deliver the film in a format so that the client can use it for the webpage.

How do I do? I have tried a hundred times to export using Quick Time Conversion with different settings but I can´t find a way to compress it and still get the right aspect ratio (16:9). I´d like to compress it from 1,5 GB to about 200 MB if that´s possible. Now the smallest I can get is 800 MB.

What is the best way to compress my file?

I hope someone has some advice to a not very knowledgeable moviemaker. Help! 🙂

There’s really a million different recipes for web video. Like do they want H.264, do they want streaming flash, do they want a Vimeo or YouTube embed, etc. Need to do a bit of research and narrow down your options first. There’s definitely not a one-size fits all for web video formats.
