I have purchased a 75 pack of Maxell DVD-Rs at Sam’s. After using DVD Identifier I have found out that the manufacturer of this batch is CMC Magnetics Corp. Anybody have any experience with these? I have been using some Verbatim and some Taiyo Yuden with good success, but hard to get. Hopefully these Maxell DVD-Rs are good.

    Doug,
Unfortunately, CMC discs are on the lower end of the scale. You can purchase Taiyo Yuden from Rima.com or from SupermediaStore.com. That being said, if you still want to purchase Maxells, make sure that they are Made in Japan. MIJ Maxells are 99.9% of the time TY discs.
