    Michael did great with my previous question. This time: How does one go about avoiding the washed-out look that seems to be the hallmark for the best quality standard setting that comes with the mpeg2 that Compressor creates.

    Does one need to set the luminance down? Etc.?

    Matt,

    Tell us how you monitored as you color graded, as that is typically the source of most issues when we hear that DVDs don’t look as expected.
