Best Computer to buy for $1,300?

At this point, whatever you want. I don’t think any of those are a good choice to spend money on as they’re all quite old. I would wait until you can afford a better machine.

I never spend money on old computers because in the long run, it’s just a waste. Sacrifice some profit up front and get a new machine that will run for three years rather than waste money on something that you’ll want to replace next year.

For Final Cut Pro, any of those machines will work. We have a G5 Dual 2.0 still cutting HD documentaries just about every day, but we avoid After Effects on it except for simple titles and such.
