I want to archive my raw footage from my canon 7d and panasonic hmc150 but the files are huge, whats the best compressor settings to maintain the quality and ensure it can be used for later editing?

    thanks!

Hey John, you should really just save the files as is, straight off the card. The files are already highly compressed to h.264. They may seem huge, but say compared to ProRes, they’re manageable, especially for archiving.
