  • Best compressor format for streaming video INCLUDING IPHONES AND IPADS

    Hey guys,

I need to export a number of videos (like 50) using the following settings:

    640×360
    Video 1000 kbsp
    AAC – 64kbps

I don’t really care what format they are in, but I would LIKE for them to be able to be played on ALL mediums… Iphones, droids, ipads….. whatever.

I have been failing repeatedly using compressor and mpeg-4 settings of all kinds… with or without streaming enabled.

I am wasting a LOT of time and could really use a hand.

Thanks very much for all of your help.

Yes, but I’ve done most of my exports with h.264 and people are still getting flash errors. Do you guys know a more universal format? I was under the impression that mpeg4 is ideal.

MP4 containing H264 is the best option.
The MP4 container is the more universal (no need QT) and the H264 ensure the quality.

    Try this with QT:

    – Export MP4
    – Video Format: H264
    – In “Video Options”, check “Multipass”.
    – ALWAYS set Key Frames AUTO.
Size and data rate as needed, and fps’s os the source.

If you have problems with the streaming, you should ask at our “Compression Techniques Forum”.
