    hi guys

I have just bought G5 2.7DP. I would be working in SD PAL environment with FCP5 first time. My experience with decklink, panther and FCP 4.5 is great. I just want to know the stability using Tiger, FCP 5, and decklink. What would be the best combination?
    OS 10.4.?
    QuickTime?
    Decklink drivers?

    Cheers

    Nikei,

The Extreme card will give you all the options you need. Works like a champ. I’ve had mine for almost three weeks now and I couldn’t be happier. I’m using it with a brand new G5, FCP 5 and all the latest patches and drivers. Jason Levy, a regular here, told me that he used his Extreme card over the last year to recapture and master 52 30-min shows, all seamlessly. Do it, you’ll be happy…

    Hi Nikei,

It’s always great to hear when someone is enjoying using the DeckLink products so thanks for letting us know.

DeckLink works great with Tiger and we’ve posted a technical note specifically about Tiger and also a list of minimum system requirements.

In summary we recommend the following software versions be used together: Mac OS X 10.4.2, Final Cut Pro HD v5.0.2, QuickTime 7.0.1 and DeckLink v5.0 drivers.

    Have fun with Tiger 🙂

    Regards,
