I am capturing video through Kona LS from a beta sp tape to edit using the multi-cam in fcp 5.1. I have had success in the past using the uncompressed 10-bit codec, but the files are so big. I can’t seem to get Photo-Jpeg to work (even when rendered to 10-bit on timeline), are there any other codecs that will work with the multi-cam edit while keeping the best broadcast quality? Thanks!

    Mac OS X.4.9
    FCP 5.1

I like to use DV50 when uncompressed is over kill. It’s a great SD codec.

Or if you’re on a FCP6 system, you might try a SD ProRes codec.
