I am planning to buy a camera to shoot a documentary.
The initial budget for camera and sound gear is between 10 and 20.000.
The camera should be ideally light, have good ergonomics ( it’s going to be used in a lot of run and gun situations) and produce great quality images.
Final objective for the doc is Tv, but theatrical release would be a plus.
I am looking at the C100 and the C300. The C300 seems amazing, but with additional lenses, shoulder rig etc.. is quite expensive.
I tried the FS700 and even though I liked the image quality, I though the camera was too heavy and very hard to shoot with ( very poor ergonomics).Great for shooting on stick, but not ideal for hand held stuff..
    Any advice?

Have you considered the Blackmagic Cinema Camera or the soon to be released Blackmagic Production Camera?

Another model to consider is the Panasonic AG-AF100A.

I am also in the market for a new camera (sadly with less of a budget than you have) and usually rent a camera to test it out.
