Best Batteries
Can anyone suggest the best place to buy batteries for the DVX-100. I paid $169 for a 10 hour one. Seems like a lot for a bettery so I’m wondering if there’s a better resourse.

Hi Noah and thanks for posting back,
I see the DVXuser.com batteries are rated at 5600mAh for 5 hours play verus the one I got from Power200 which is rated at 600mah for 10 hours play.
Does that sound right?

Something doesn’t sound quite right there- I’d take a closer look at those tech numbers. Never heard of the Power200 anyway but I can vouch that the DVX’s last forever.

The “10 hour” claim applies to little palmcorders. The DVX uses a lot more power and gets about 5 1/2 hours out of a 5600mah battery. Put that same battery on a tiny palmcorder and yeah, it’ll last 10 hours. No way will that Power2000 battery last 10 hours on a DVX.
