Is it possible to type a resume in InDesign and have the background completely transparent?
I guess, make a png [if that is possible in InDesign], bring it into my web site – the background to be seen, which is a simple light colour. If that is not possible, my work around is to make a jpeg of the colour background, bring it in, type over it, if that will work?

Yes, you can export a PGN with transparency from inDesign.
