beginner level GPU
What will be the ideal GPU for beginners into c4d,after effects, premiere? I am having 2 options:
1. go with gtx 1070 straight away, also any suggestions for which GTX 1070?
2. start with a very minimal GPU early on and shift to High end cards later. so far I have never used any graphics card at all. I am looking for a starter GPU, which will be decent enough to allow me to learn c4d,AE,Premiere, which I can replace with high end cards once my learning takes off. however my learning should not be impacted by choosing a lower end card
so should I go with option 1 or 2 in terms of cost effectiveness?

i’d stay away from evga boards as they have missing heatsinks, bad firmware and generally overheat when overclocked. a safer bet would be msi.
you get what you pay for for gtx boards. the 1060gtx is stable for premiere but 30% slower for gpu supported tasks in premiere. it has less
cuda cores than 1070 and 1070 less than 1080. the 1060 is ok for entry level 4k resize and octane engine but the 1070 in some instances is almost twice as fast. the 1070 is as fast as a 980ti but has newer tech 2.0 code in premiere so will be supported longer. the 1060 doesn’t sli, if you needed that for any reason. you can overclock all of these cards as well. if your motherboard supports it, you can simply buy another card down the road.the majority of reviews say the 1070 is the best bang for your buck. in many premiere renders, it is as fast as 1080 before hitting cpu bottleneck. but if you’re strapped for cash, get a 1060 and spend it on the higher core 6-8 cpu’s instead. your money’s value will go much farther.

Do you recommend the 1060 or 1070 over an NVidia K620 or M2000?I’m using After Effects and Premiere CS6 (soon to move to CC) and Vegas Video in Windows 7.
My system is a Boxx i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz x4, 32 GB RAM. I kinda don’t want to sink too much money into this machine as it’s getting close to time for an upgrade, but I still want it to work well in the meantime.Thanks!

quadro has 10 bit float point 3d rendering but less cuda cores so slower for more money.
k620 faster than m2000. 1060 much faster than either.
you could get a cheaper gtx1050ti than k620 with double the cores and speed for $139.
1060 20% more expensive than 1050ti for 20% better performance. 1050ti best small budget, 1060 best medium build, 1070 best bang for buck, 1080 often cpu bottleneckedcuda only accelerates this stuff so if you don’t use it then save money.
