Beginer here – blur images out of focus
Hi Guys,
this is easy for you I’m sure. I’m new to AE and I need to replicate rotation of objects and blurring as per you tube video example:

it’s the left screen at 13 seconds in. Any help will be most appreciated to keep my boss of my back.

Set up your spinning things as 3D layers probably parented to a 3D null that will spin them around. Add a camera with depth of field enabled and have the frontmost item be in focus.

Also make sure to turn on the motion blur check box for your spinning 3D layer. You won’t see this effect in the comp unless you turn on the comps overall motion blur button at the top of the timeline window.
The default render settings turns this on for you when you render out but its a good habit to check what those settings are before rendering.
