I wouldn’t do that. In this context, Toast can:
1) create a DVD from DV camcorder footage, presumably compressing to MPEG-2, authoring and burning itself, or
2) create a DVD from a VIDEO_TS folder created in an Authoring app, or
3) create video CDs, which I haven’t done.
While I find Toast very useful, I need to actually author a DVD using DVD Studio Pro or a similar DVD Authoring package. Here’s my process on the Mac:
1) render out of AE to the Animation codec (or 10-bpc Blackmagic), then
2) compress to MPEG-2 using Compressor or Digigami
3) author using DVD Studio Pro
4) burn using DVDSP. You could use Toast at this stage.
As far as I know, the Authoring stage is necessary, to create the necessary folders and files for DVD.
At any rate, you should really address this question to the DVD Authoring COW. 🙂
