    Hello there

I have been given a 20 minute long wmv file with resolution 424 x 240 @15 Fps. (dont ask me why). Can anyone give me tips on the best way to edit a file down into 4 minute chunks. Should i use prem or after effects. If i use prem how do i tell prem about the resolution and frame rate.

ANy tips and advice greatfully recieved.

    Many thanks

    Jamie

Editing will degrade the clip a bunch, but you can “chop it up” using a free utility from MS that cames with Windows Media Encoder 9 (free). It’s called
    Windows Media File Editor.

My best suggestion is to throw it all away. It’ll never look anywhere acceptable, so why edit. Just play it as it is.
