    I’m encountering a problem where whenever we open a project (about 25MB, stored on the startup disk on the machine) final cut will beachball, here is the exact setup:
    TerraBlock connected to XServe via FC, shared out to client laptop via ethernet
    project is opened on laptop, gives message about render files offline (which they are, since the render files are stored locally on the machine that made the project)
    click continue, and the machine bachballs, indefinitely
    oddly, this issue doesn’t happen all the time, only when we need to get work done

    the laptops are the most recent 17″ MBPs, 2GB RAM, 10.5.4, QT 7.5, FCP 6.0.4

    THe project opens fine on a desktop connected via ethernet

    I should also add that if the server is disconnected, the project opens fine (abet with all the media off-line)
