April 26, 2009 at 1:35 pmOkay … so the word that I got back from engineering is that the Extrude EPS and the Swish Pan filters are registration incentives … they are not made available in BCC 6 until the software is licensed.
Hope this helps to explain the absence of these filters from your system.
Cheers,
Peter.

April 26, 2009 at 2:11 pmI am a owner. I have licenses to half of Boris’ product catalog. Just ask Kevin D. in sales.
I found how to download the SwishPan filter but where is the Extrude EPS download for owners.
Also I have installed the unlock code for the BCC6.

I’ll find out where the Extruded EPS filter is for you tomorrow when the engineers are back on line.
Cheers,
Peter.

April 27, 2009 at 8:06 pmHi Seannon,
So the filter that you are looking for, Extruded EPS, is currently in the final stages of internal testing and should be made ready for general release shortly. I’ll let you know as soon as it is available.
Cheers,
Peter.

April 29, 2009 at 1:31 amYep they got back to me.
Hope it comes out soon as I want to try it. I like the material rendering in the BCC6 filters.
Side note though. And maybe I am just being dumb right now…
I think this is in general a limitation of AE but is there a way to get multiple layers to act as a scene?
For instance if you have text in front of a spline and want to pan around it say from the front to the back and have both items with a 3D effect and have them render in the camera’s perspective of z order.
I figured the Z Space I-III might help but have not had a chance to play around with them.
Thank You
