BCC 9 (Vegas Pro)
I use Boris FX for Vegas Pro 14, but I recently upgraded to Vegas Pro 15 and everytime I would try to use the ‘BCC’ Video FX it would always crash vegas pro. So I tried to delete Boris FX through the files (I didn’t know you could uninstall plugins from control panel). But now, everytime I attempt to load Vegas Pro it always comes up saying “Attempting to Install” on ‘Windows Installer’. After I wait like 2 Minutes for this, it then comes up saying “The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed.”. The same also happens when I try to uninstall it from control panel.
Does this happen because I have not deleted all the files correctly, or do I need to fix the ‘Windows Installer’?
Please help, the Boris FX plugin is one of my favourites and I was going to use it for my College course work. -

Hi Adam,
As a rule of thumb, you should always use the correct tools for install and uninstall of any software on your system. It may be that there are some orphaned or stray files left over from an incomplete removal that are causing the problem that you’re seeing. I’d suggest uninstalling both Vegas and BCC using the control panel “add/remove” feature, then reinstalling the products to see if this helps. If not then you should probably send a message to customer support for assistance.
