July 4, 2012 at 3:02 pmA couple of quick suggestions: either create the missing directory by hand or use the BCC 8 installer to re-install the product. It sounds like the missing directory was accidentally deleted from your hard drive. The download can be found here:

July 5, 2012 at 6:57 pmHey guys, just thought I’d reply to this.. I started a chat session w boris support and they were able to help me as i was getting the EXACT same problem as Nino
Not sure if you ever had a trial of boris installed, but that seems to be the issue w my case.
SOLUTION:
-Uninstall boris completely w the installer.
-Navigate to your hard drive > windows > system 32
-in there will be some boris Dlls that youll also need to delete for a full wipe of the suite on your computer.
-Next, w an admin account, run regedit
-Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Boris FX, Inc.
-Drop down that folder and delete all folder entries.
-As i said earlier, my issue was imcompatibility w the various types of the plugin installed on this machine.
-After all this is done, go ahead and do a reinstall and that should work.Big shout out to Jon at Boris support that helped me fix this 🙂
good luck w your issue.
