Dumb and Dumber: I have BCC7 for FCP, but I can’t figure out how to motion stabilze a shot. I have tracked the shot using Motion tracker, now how do I move that track info to the DVE to steady the shot?
    Thanks in advance, Rick

    Hi,

Why don’t you use the BCC Optical Stabilizer instead … it was designed precisely with this task in mind. It’s in the BCC Time category and you just apply it to the clip that you want to stabilize, then analyze the clip and decide whether you want to lock down the shot (stabilize) or simply smooth the camera motion (smooth) via the Mode pop-up. If you choose stabilize, you can also select whether you want to lock down just the translation (xy) movement or also the rotation and zoom.

    Cheers,

    Peter.

Thanks so much. Perfect solution. Would still like to figure out the Motion tracker feature of BCC for other PIP type effects.

    Cool … glad that helped.

For PIPs, I recommend that you use the BCC Match Move filter when you need to match the PIP movement to movement in the scene.

    Cheers,

    Peter.
