BCC 5 on FCP but adding Avid MC 5.5
I have a Mac loaded up with FCP and BCC 5. Everything is working fine. I have purchased Avid MC 5.5 and it includes some version of BCC. I have not tried to load the BCC plugin for avid MC yet, concerned it might conflict with the BCC5 FCP plugin package. Are there any known issues? Anyone have a similar situation?

Dan, this shouldn’t pose any problems because the BCC that would come with Avid would be BCC AVX, whereas the BCC for your Final Cut Pro would be BCC FxPlug (or BCC AE if your FCP is an older version). These two different BCC’s will not only create different plugin files for their respective hosts, but they will also create their own version-specific folders for all additional items, from presets to documentation. As such, the two will be able to live side-by-side without any problem on the same system.
