    I can’t believe I just noticed this only now…

    A few of my Panny batteries have a switch on the underside. Two settings, one shows a red colour, the other black.

    And the stupid question is….

    What he heck is the switch for?

    It’s for your own quick reference to the battery charge status. When a battery dies, we switch it to red : “red is dead”.
