Will the battery from my dvx100 fit the new hvx200?

Well, maybe, but that’s more than canceled out by the bigger/thirstier chips and the internal 60p processing. If you’re comparing against an HD100, yes the batteries last forever — about 3.5 hours. If you’re comparing against a DVX, no the batteries don’t last as long.
